GROUND HISTORY adapted from "The Ultimate Directory of English & Scottish Football League Grounds" |
|
The home ground of Hull Cricket Club the arena was, as the name implied, virtually circular with a main pavilion on the west side and another smaller pavilion on the north. Hull City FC was accommodated from 1905 and they installed a covered stand and a 1,000 capacity temporary stand. The orientation of the pitch, on the map, is assumed. The cricket ground was vacated in 1906 with Hull City FC moving to the Anlaby Road ground which had been constructed on the east side of the site.
