My first Notts County game and went as a neutral really, me and my brother were bored and picked the game out just as something to do. Got there WELL in advance, so we thought we''d head into the city, as is standard for me, we walked miles in the wrong direction and ended up circling the entire city centre before finally finding the shops, not very well signposted but we had a laugh.
Munched on a nearby KFC before heading to the stadium and was impressed at what we saw, a nice stadium, especially for a league 1 side that does well to be in league 1. Everywhere you looked you could see ''Oldest Football League Club'' which I didnt know about beforehand, a touch by Martin Allen to promote the fact I believe. The concourse area was nothing special at all, very basic with no tv''s or anything luxurious.
Charlton were in town and expected to win the league, being a big club they bought a fair amount of support, plus it was the first County home game of the season, so there was a pretty big gate for a county game.
Game itself, I dont remember much at all really except we had a good laugh at how poor Julian Kelly was. We moved to the top of the kop second half and the atmosphere was quite lively, as County pulled one back and went on for the equaliser with some chances to do so. We enjoyed ourselves enough to decide to go along again.

Back when we had the BWP and Hayes combination up front. I remember Wright Phillips going for goal when he had a Jew at the ready. We still won though
